Complementary therapy is a broad domain of healing resources that embraces all health systems, modalities and practices in preventing or treating illness and promoting health and well-being. It treats the whole person, rather than the symptom of the disease. The term “Complementary therapies” encompasses interventions which may complement the care more traditionally rather than conventional medicine.
Nurse educators are considering the inclusion of complementary therapies nursing curriculum with increasing frequency, motivated at least in part by the ever-increasing public enthusiasm for these therapies.
Nurses have an opportunity to provide services that facilitate wholeness. They need to understand all therapies, including costs, patient knowledge and drug interactions, if they are to promote holistic strategies for patients seeking to achieve a higher quality of life.
This conference will promote an absolute scientific knowledge on complementary therapies to every individual who aspires the joy of total wellness.
